Frequently asked questions:
Spiritual Beliefs for those also seeking prayer.
At the foundation of our work is a deep commitment to the truth and authority of Scripture and to the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Our beliefs guide the way we serve, support, and care for others with compassion, integrity, and faith.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and His revelation to humanity. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, truth, and plan for redemption. (II Timothy 3:16, I Corinthians 2:13)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct yet indivisible. (Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14)
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin and sent to be the Savior of the world. (Luke 1:26–38, John 1:14–18, Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, and revealed Himself to His disciples after His resurrection. (I Corinthians 15:1–4, Romans 4:25, Acts 1:3–5, John 20:16–21)
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit remain active and are available for the edification and strengthening of the Church today. (I Corinthians 12–14)
We believe believers are called to live Spirit-filled lives marked by holiness, transformation, and devotion to God. (Romans 12:1–2, Ephesians 5:18, II Corinthians 6:14; 7:1)
We believe in divine healing through the power of God as demonstrated throughout Scripture and the Early Church. (Acts 4:30, Romans 8:11, I Corinthians 12:9, James 5:14)

Do you travel to homes?
Yes, we can travel for a fee. Because it takes away from our calendar availability, travel fees are based on distance. If you would like a quote, please message us on our "Contact Us" area of our website.
Why is fascia important?
Fascia is a continuous layered web of connective tissue that surrounds all organs, glands, muscles, nerves, and even oral structures. It influences the function of your cranial nerves and even your central nervous system. Both physical and emotional trauma tighten the fascial web by putting pressure onto the nerves, blood and lymph, muscles, organs, and bones. When we release the fascial tension it allows everything to move freely and optimizes the flow of your cerebral spinal fluid to help nourish and cleanse toxins.
Do you only work on pregnant women and babies?
No, Joannah is happy to work on anyone needing and wanting fascial bodywork.
I'm an adult, why are you asking me about my birth as an infant?
Fascial strain can be tracked all the way back to you in your mothers womb. As a fascial therapist it helps to know how your mother's pregnancy was and if there was any complications or traumas during that time. It also helps to know if there was trauma during your birth. For example, many babies are born with the cord wrapped around the neck. This can cause significant fascial tension and even trauma to a body. The way you may store your trauma is different from someone else, but this is one puzzle piece to releasing it. Other traumas could be falls, orthodontics, surgeries, car accidents, emotional trauma, ect.
How many visits are needed?
There is really no way to know how many visits will be needed as each individual responds differently to bodywork Some individuals will respond immediately and need fewer sessions, some will need more sessions for a longer period of time.
What should I wear to my appointment?
All treatments are done fully clothed. We don’t advise wearing tight/restrictive jeans, dresses or skirts as it can limit fascial release for the legs and hips. Athletic clothing is the best. For men we have found wearing compression underwear can make a session more comfortable for them.
Do you assess tongue ties
Although we can assess we cannot diagnose.
What ages do you treat?
Fascial Bodywork is amazing for every age.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not directly work with insurance. Joannah does however have a Perinatal NPI number that you can attempt to submit for reimbursement for both pregnancy and lactation. We cannot say that you will be reimbursed as all insurance companies are different.
We also are happy to accept HSA cards as Joannah is a Registered Nurse and Healthcare Provider.
